I received my BA in Creative Writing in the winter of ‘08 and am planning on getting some kind of teaching credentials. I wanted to be an Elementary school teacher (I decided during the months I was pregnant), but I think I will do pre-school for now, and later on I hope to get my MFA in Creative Writing and hopefully write some short pieces. I don’t know if I would be able to write novels, they scare me. But of course I will try and short stories are wonderful. I love them.
Well, this is where I’m at right now and one of the reasons why I decided to start this particular blog was to better myself in writing (practice) and for my own personal reflection. I’ve had a blog before (Xanga), but that was long ago when I was in high school. I’ve left it, and I want something new.
I’m not working right now, but I am looking for a part-time job just so I can stay sane from taking care of my 18 month old boy.
Oh, and I absolutely have to have my coffee! Can’t you just smell that nice steamy aroma?
Hope you write lots of comments!

Blogging is great writing practice – you can really get out all those mind dumps and essays in your head. There’s also a lovely community out there to keep you company
I’m a mum of a 3 month old, currently working from home and trying to finish my novel without sacrificing time with my small man. It’s hard, but worth it.
Good luck with your writing!

Hi Kari, thanks for the comment on my blog, about my writing. It’s fairly new to me but I find it really enjoyable. I like that you’ve got a coffee picture here – I’m a bit of a coffee fanatic myself. Until recently, I had a coffee picture in my blog header. I’ve just read a bit of your blog here. Good luck with everything!
